Alexandre Couto Silva Biography
Alexandre Couto Silva is the founding partner of Couto Silva Advogados.
A practising lawyer on public and closed corporations, Alexandre has certified legal expertise in corporate law, M&A law, control transfers inside corporations and sales or purchases of minority stock, including tax issues. He advises clients on the structuring of corporate groups, and companies on their relationships with investors and business partners. He also assists clients in important arbitration proceedings involving corporate law and in disputes between stakeholders of the same company.
Alexandre holds bachelor, master’s and doctorate degrees in corporate law by the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and a degree in business management by the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais. He is a licensed attorney through the Brazilian Bar Association (States of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo) and Instituto dos Advogados do Brasil.
His native language is Portuguese, but he is a fluent English speaker.
